l found a 1983 Porshe 944 in my town for $2900...nothing seems to be wrong with it all the body is nice white paint.he said hell take $2500 for it. with 116000 miles on it.

The price is about right, for that year and mileage. Remember, the 944 (and 928 for that matter) were the more affordable Porsches in those days. The only thing to keep in mind is that maintenance costs can be high. As the saying goes, ''the cheapest Porsche you can buy will be the most expensive car you will ever own.''

Ask him the last time he replaced the TIMING BELT- those things are terrible to fix on 944s..other than that everything should be good- very fun car good luck
