FYI---Right now $1.00USA=$.95CAN Used and New Porsche are selling for about 20K more in Canada. If you buy a new Porsche from the USA Dealer new they make you sign a agreement that you cannot sell that car to Canada for at least a year. Lets say if you would buy a 2005 for 50K in the USA and would sell it for about 70K in Canada (66500USA). Which is about 16500-TAX-TRAVEL-ETC= still 9-10K profit and a fun hobby to do. My question, Is there any legal fees you have to pay when selling a car in Canada, or anything illegal about what I am talking about. Any advice please!!

you would have to pay duty on the car and it needs to go through a government inspection before it can be insured in Canada

As a US Seller, there is not much u need to do except for finding a buyer. There r lots of Canadian buyers here looking for American cars because of 1) the price difference 2) the strength of the Canadian dollar & 3) the wider availability of models compared to Canada.

As a Seller, u only have to abide by the agreement from the dealer not to sell the car for a year (unless u can get that requirement removed from ur agreement).

As a Buyer, there r more things that r needed to be considered. They will be responsible for the initial purchase of the car from you, however also the taxes & duty, shipping & transportation, insurance & modifying the car to fit Canadian standards (usually child restraints & daytime running lights).
