In poland they keep stealing the police cars - because it is written on the back 911.

They thought the police uses the Porsche.

Good Luck.

??? If you are speaking of the emergency telephone number, you should call 411 and ask them what the number is.

Paul S, l agree, you can also see the 901 heritage embeded in the part numbers. All Porsche OEM part begin with the model the part was first designed for. Many of the early 911 parts begin with 901.

Why is it that every few months someone posts this to the Porsche section? l suppose l can understand how getting way too drunk or something can lead to that kind of ''oh, here is something really funny that no one else has ever thought of'' moment. but that is really just the cautionary tale about not drinking & surfing or to stay off the computer when you're baked.

But, in the interest of giving an answer to a stupid question. since this is in the Porsche area:

The number for 911 depends on the year, with the early models actually being 901 (since this was the original model designation before it was changed to avoid any conflict with Pugeot is Trademark claims). The 911 number itself does apply to the impact bumper years ('74-'89). 964 is the number for the next version ('89-94 in the US), which was followed by 993, 996, & the current 997. And if u look to other models marketed in some form under the 911 umbrella, you'd also have 930 & 965.

So there u go!
