l wanna use the nitrous off the line because it is very slow off the line and it is pretty quick otherwise.. is this a good idea?

Do not shoot that nitrous with out having your RPM is up past 2500.

You can Blow the head gasket instantly or worse.

Nitrous is for mid to high RPM is only

Off the line as in ''on a corner''. If thats what you mean do not try it. You will probably spin out or go to fast to handle, so just use it on straight-a-ways. Unless you do not value your car.

No, first you need to go buy a new porsche, a nice one thats manual not a 944, then tune the engine properly and not fuck it up with nitro unless you plan on making it a drag car which is the opposite of why those cars are made.

You probably consider what it will cost to repair the engine once it is blown or for that matter the transmission. The 944 especially with it is age is not the best choice for adding nitrous to. Sell it and by something else.

p.s. re: automatics. u guys need to check out what indy cars r using in the F1 transmissions. Automatics r more robust, faster & more versatile than manuals & never, ever miss a gear downshifing at the apex..also its all part of the traction control system in these cars. power distribution & control.

Ill take paddle shifters anyday. the downside to us mortals is that a tiptronic can cost $2500 or more above a stick.

Just downshift before entering the corner, dude. l do not think it is advisable to use spray ''off the line you will spin out and hit the wall.or the air till you hit the ground hundreds of feet down.

Good god people! Off the line = from a dig = standing start = from a stop. 944s have good winedy engines, but lack torque down low because of small displacement.
It has an auto because that is what Porsche saw fit to put in it!

Anyway, ignore the children. Just go to any speed shop in ur area. Talk to them about getting a window switch for ur nitrous kit. This will only let the nitrous work at the rpm u select, say 3000 to 7000 rpm. Get a purge kit & bottle warmer too, if u do not have them already. Nitrous can be completely safe if used properly.
