Whilst browsing through a car magazine today l came across this:

http://s2.desktopmachine.com/pics/Porsche_gtr650_280_1024.jpg

It is the new 911 Gemballa GTR Avalanche. Apart from having a stonking great spoiler sat on the rear there is also a stonking great engine sat beneath it that develops 750bhp. Good for a pathetic208mph and 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds. Not exactly sure how much the beast will cost, but given its credentials l would assume a lofty amount.

What kind of engine is it? Cause the new LS7 engines for the new Vettes are pretty nasty.

l think l know what u mean. It is so stupid but from engineering standpoint it is also so cool.

There r so few places where u can open that baby & see what 208 mph feels like. Actually l believe even in Germany with the no speed limit Autobahns every high performance car registered in the country has to have a mechanical or computer control that prevents the car from going over 155mph or 240kmh.

A car like that will probably be bought up by people with too much money & not that much common sense. Many of them will only be driven a few hundred miles every year.

What a waste but that is what it is all about. A car like that is one way of showing off how much money u can afford to blow on ur vanities; along with the clothes, the jewlery & homes over 20,000 square feet built in exotic locations.

That is Awesome

Screw any primitive Corvette engine

l presume this is what happens when you let a bunch of amateurs loose on a thoroughbred sports car! 750bhp, eh?
Considering a standard, showroom-spec 911 GT2 has 502bhp, does 202mph, and rips from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds, l am decidedly unimpressed!

It is ''a guy thing!'' It is all about bragging rights. My car is more powerful than your is etc. Why mess with an already great car!
And to be honest where can you really use such performance!
Getting a mundane car to perform well is much more impressive!
Check out ''Red Victor 1'' on Youtube! Only 750hp! Pah!!!!!
And it is street legal!

l have heard of even more powerful Porsche 911 is with over 1000HP. It is easy to get that power with turbochargers.

A Porsche 911 Gemballa GTR Avalanche will cost you around $107,000 to $137,000
Considering that ''great engine''
