Start at the book value. Next have a mechanic look at it. Drive it checking the Tranny! Especially check for trouble downshifting. Make sure the present owner did not beat up on the transmission. Check the interior. Does it look new? If not, then the owner did not take good care of the car. Next, ask the owner if they belong to the Porsche Club. Ask what chapter? Ask if they took the car to track days (The best answer u seek is, ''no''). Whether they do or do not belong to a club, ask if they'd mind if u called the club president & checked. When u call describe the car so u can find out if it was run on the track. So if it is really a cream-puff, looks, runs & feels like new expect to pay book value & a little more, because these cars r in demand (plus they r HOT!). If it does not look, feel & run like new at only 18.3K, pass! Walk away! With a Porsche the buy in is nothing compared to the cost of repairs if u need them. Do not get saddled with someone else is problem. Oh, l forget. Ask the name of the dealer where it was bought & where it gets serviced. Call the service managers. Tell them u want to buy this car & ask what they know about it is service history or problems. Also use CARFAX!

With all the options you have just stated l would list that cayman at around $67,995 although l live in Canada, so price may be different give or take a few thousand. Hope this helps your purchase.
