wasnt working for about 4-5 months, now all ive done is replaced the starter, need feed back asap
cant l just run it and eventually it will all burn??? cant afford to replace anything on it now
what would an oil additive do for it?

White smoke is oil on the cylinders, could be because the seals on the valves have some damage or the piston rings need to be replaced. Check the compressions on the engine. l will recommend you to use a oil additive to see if this helps.

Id start with about 4 cans of foaming degreaser
then warm the car up just a bit then shut it off & spray the whole motor real good, wait about 15 minutes & spray it again, after 15 minutes with a garden hose most of that oil should be gone, then warm it up & look for leaks, if it were burning it in the motor it would be blue smoke, white would be a sign of a head gasket leaking water but not sure that motor is water cooled, black smoke is to much fuel, if there is an oil leak & its getting on ur exhaust it will be alot easy er to see the leak when the motor is clean first,.

If it smoking white after it is warmed up, then it sounds like coolant leaking into the combustion chamber. Check the coolant level and see if it is low. Blue smoke would be oil burning and black smoke would be excessive fuel in the mixture.

Start with a compression check. Check all the cylinders while the engine is cold then check them again while the engine is warm. The proper way to do it is while the engine is warm however. If u have a cylinder with pressure that is considerably lower than the other three, put a few drops of oil down that cylinder via the spark plug hole & check the compression again. If the compression evens out compared to the other cylinders then u have bad rings or a scored cylinder. Everyone I've talked to has said these r notorious for head gaskets. Check ur oil & if u have any water bubbles on the dipstick or light colored, milky oil, u probably have a coolant problem, which sucks to fix. If it is indeed a coolant leak, u will eventually destroy ur bearings & trash ur motor. If u can not afford to fix anything now, u wont be able to afford to repair ur motor. The bottom end on mine cost almost $2000 to repair after the machining was done & the parts were ordered, & that was putting it together in my uncle is shop using his prices for parts & machining. It not worth attempting to run it.

Sounds like a blown head gasket to me.

white smoke in a water cooled engine means you have coolant in the combustion cylinders. do a pressure check on the coolant system. all signs point to head gasket.
