I am looking at a 1999 Porsche Boxster with 145 000 miles. l know it is quite a lot and I'd like to know what is likely to happen in terms of repairs or maintenance and what points should l check when test driving the car.

It is the base model that I will test drive.

l know the 99 Boxster had an issue with the seal between the transmission & engine leaking, l believe. At some point l want to upgrade from my 1987 944 turbo to a Boxster & have been looking into the early Boxsters as that replacement car. Is this a base model Boxster or a Boxster S? l would think the S model would be more likely to make u happy because of the performance increase u will receive.
