the c4s has more power and torque plus a bigger turbo and it looks better , cS is the basic model

Well the difference Between Porsche Carrera S & 4S is.

1)The S is rear Wheel Drive & the 4S is All Wheel drive.

2)The S is 0.1 Seconds faster From 0-60 then the 4S.

3)The 4S is 4 mph Faster then the S.

4)The S is Easier to Dive, its Nimbler & more Comfier then the 4S.

5)The 4S is edgier more harder round Corners & is rougher less Comfier, but it will give better Laptime then the S.

6)The S is more Economical then the 4S.

7)The 4S will Last longer than the S because the 4S is All Wheel Drive.

to the first guy: Neither car is turbocharged.

third guy: Youre just blatantly wrong about most of that. point 1 is correct, point 2 is up to the driver (porsche lists them as the same, 4.6s), 3 is just wrong (CS is rated to 3 mph faster), 4 is a blatant lie (the AWD porsches r always more tame), 5 again is totally wrong (the S is harder to drive, & gives slightly better laptimes), 6 is true, 7 is wrong (AWD=more parts=more stuff to break).

The C4S is the all wheel drive carrera S. Thats the only difference.

With the AWD comes quite a bit of extra weight (200 or so pounds), but u have slightly better traction from a dig (not that it matters, the 911s already have silly amounts with the RR layout), & the handling changes quite a bit. The carrera S handles like a 911 is supposed to handle: unintuitive & slightly difficult, albeit extremely well. Its much more rewarding to learn to drive properly. It is the most ''911'' 911. The C4S is much more tame, easier to drive & better in poor conditions (not that u would be driving one in poor conditions).

The two cars r very close in all aspects of speed, but at the limit the carrera S has a very slight advantage, assuming equal, extremely good drivers (meaning pros). With most amateur drivers, the C4s will be faster, simply because its easier to drive.

the price difference isnt huge, but it is noticable. l would stick with the S, personally.
