l just bought a customized Boxster with a Custom Maxflo Dual Exhaust System.l love the roar of this system but my girlfriend says it is a little too loud at times. Is it possible to dial down the volume or do l give her an ultimatum? If it is possible, how much would it cost to do so?

It is a bad ass sports car they are cramped, loud, and rough riding, if you want smooth and quiet get a Cadillac. But if you are so inclined you probably could get new quieter mufflers put on for $200 .

Honesly, just tell your GF to turn down her whining. If she wants a quiet, cushy ride, get a lexus. Porsches arent meant to be quiet or tame.

You've got a great exhaust system on that car! It cost alot of money. There r plenty of folks with Boxsters that would love to take that off ur hands for a decent price, or for free in trade for their stock exhaust AND the labor to swap them.
It looks like this is ur exhaust:

On the left, click ''water cooled then Boxster/S, & poke around a bit. Most people would refer to ur system by the manufacturer, Fabspeed, l think.

l have a 1990 911 & l put on a very loud dual exhaust about 7 years ago. It sets off alarms in parking ramps & always draws attention. My wife loves it! l like it too, but as the primary driver of the car, it is a bit of a pain sometimes. l will drive the car for an hour or more on a trip & get a headache. However, l still would not give it up as it really adds character to the car.

My recommendation is to keep it, but if u decide to swap it out, find someone who wants it & they will help u get back to stock on their dime!

Good Luck!!
