there is a black 2006 c6 convertible for sale for $57000 that l am interested in, this C6 has every option a zo6 comes with, all the options together cost almost $11000, its an 06 model but it has 0 miles on it,for the second car im interested in is the 07 Boxter, which brand new cost around $52000 with tax with hardly any options, l personally am thinking about getting the C6 but the interior is very cheap, but since the Boxter is German its in a totally different class, which car is a better buy?

Boxster is a girl car. Are you a girl? Plus it looks hideous in the front with those stupid azz circle headlights. Corvettes are guy cars. If l could spend over $40,000 dollars on a car l would get a BMW M3 or Corvette brand new.

Boxster is a girlie-man car. If that is your thing, great, but if you're expecting the rush of a Corvette, it is not going to happen.
It is true, the Corvette interiors have been quite cheesy in the past but they are getting better. At least they do not look like they came out of a Cavalier rental car anymore. Early Boxster interiors were no great shakes either.

Contrary to the 'Boxster is a girlie car' , the opinion of many competent drivers is that it is one of the best handling sports cars ever, because of it is mid-engined configuration.
Here is a very simple analogy; take a old fashioned roller skate, put all the weight of ur hand on the very front, & then try to turn it. It is highly unstable, because the rear wheels, where centrifugal forces r most dominant, r very light, due to the weight transfer to the front.
That is a front-engined car, (like a Corvette) going into a corner under heavy braking. Now put the weight of ur hand exactly in the middle of the roller skate & turn it. Very stable. And translated into a real car like the Boxster, very neutral handling. No understeer. No oversteer. The depreciation of the Boxster should also be much less than that of the Corvette.
A Porsche makes a good driver better, & keeps a bad one safe.

51% of the C6 is weight is on the front tires, 49% is on the rear.
46% of the Boxster is weight is on the front tires, 54% is on the rear.
The Corvette is more balanced, making it easier to handle. The Corvette is also faster, requires cheaper and less frequent maintenance, and looks better (in my opinion).
From what l can see, the only thing the Boxster has going for it is the Porsche moniker.

youd be a fool to buy either. For that price u can buy a used 996 Turbo. Faster, more refined, more durable, more prestigious, & easier to drive than either of those.
an Exige S would be a good alternative if u want to buy a new car (which l think is a bad idea).
and to the guy above me: Weight distrobution has pretty much nothing to do with ease to drive. The C6 is considered EXTREMELY difficult to drive, even by professionals due to low feedback, high power, & lack of refinement. Not only r u wrong about that, but 50/50 actually isnt ideal from an engineering perspective. Its actually about 45/55 rear bias due to the way loads shift under acceleration & braking. The boxster is one of the best handling cars ever produced.

Depending on just what u want, there may be better options available. And with these two options, alot of which is ''better'' is going to depend on just what factors rank as most important to you. There r some similarities between the cars, but really, when u r looking, the decision will probably be based on the differences.
The Boxster is the better balanced car between the two. front/back weight ditribution is but one element of balance (there is polar momentum, side to side & front/back weight transfer, center of rotation. & some rear weight bias is actually better for braking performance & pushing the car out of understeer situations). The Boxster has a better feeling & more responsive chasis. It has good build quality & is an all around nice car. It also has great brakes.
The Corvette does not feel as solid, & while it is the best GM produces, it is build quality is not on par with other cars in it is price class. But with those negitives aside, the Corvette produces ALOT of performance! The Boxster may feel more planted & balanced, but the Corvette has a definite edge in total grip. And it has a sunstantial amount more power!
I've driven both of these cars for a number of laps around a few different tracks in the last few years. Overall, l prefer the driving experience of the Boxster, both because of the good points l mentioned & it feels a more natural transition from the 911s & such that l usually drive at track events. But while l am more comfortable in the Boxster, the Corvette is definitely the faster of the two, & by no small margin.
Neither car is practical if it is ur only car as neither provides much in the way of cargo space, & seating is strictly for two. They r both fun cars to drive, & will provide mostly good reactions from others looking on. Which one works best for you? Drive both & then consider which elements r most important for you.
There r other cars u might want to consider as well (as has been previously mentioned by others here), though either of these represent a good choice as well depending on what u r looking for.

For those that think the Boxster is a girlie car grow up. A Corvette is what a 40 year old man a 8 year old child dream about. You can compare the two because they are in two different leagues. Were talking about a front engine, V8, America built vs. mid engine, flat- 6, German.
