i'm thinking of buying a porsche boxter model 1997,187000 km,how much would the service cost be?and in case anyone owns a porsche could you please tell me how often a service should take place after,in my case, having thespassed the 187000 km?

If you need to ask. you can not afford it.

It really depends where and how good the service is to determine cost, but it can get pretty expensive if the mechanic doesnt have any stock of what new part you need for your porsche. Since all the parts are made in germany (thank god) they would have to unfortunatley ship them over to the garage.

P.S. If you've never had a Porsche before, you're gonna have fun!!

If you are worried about the cost and can only afford a car with 187000 km - l suggest something a little less grand.

l had a 68 911 t this cost close to $ 1000.00 per tune up & add another $500.00 miss. parts & it should run somewhere in this area.
Go for the Subaru WRX it is way faster then the boxter & less money to maintain, plus u do not know how well the past owner treated this car !
The milage that is on this is up where u want to be very hard on ur going over the shop evaluation check up.
If u do not pay for a complete computer & mechanical work up on this u can end up with a lemmon.
A 1997 is 10yrs old & time for major work to be preformed, the hourly charge from my mech. was $60.00hr & these prices r over 15yrs old.
Think about all the money u can save if u shop for a newer Boxter, go to the dealer & ask them to run the check up, u will get the news about the car & what it is going to take to own one.

l would stay away from a 120 thousand mile boxster. Porsche parts are very expensive, and chances are if youre looking at a 187000km boxster, you cant afford big repair bills.

The rule with porsches is the least expensive porsche will always end up being the most expensive one.

l would pass on that car.

take my advice do not buy that old modle u r gona have problems after problem after problem especially with that high mileage.
