THE PARKING BRAKE IS ENGAGED AND THE LOCK IS OFF... WHEN YOU PRESS THE BUTTON NOTHING HAPPENS. WHERE CAN l LOOK TO FIX IT BEFORE PAYING BIG BUCKS TO TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP?

Why would it cost you to take it to the dealership? Porsche has one of the best warranties in the world. Something as basic as your problem should be covered.
