Porsche 996 Turbo or Ferrari 360 Modena

l can not believe u r even asking this. The porshe without a doubt. l own a vintage 930 and its the best car in the world. they handle the best and l say a Ferrari owner is a wannabe Porshe owner lol

If u said a 997 or a 993 - then hands down that is the way to go.
l was never fond of the 996 look.

Ca not tell u about a Ferrari - though l have one being dropped off in my driveway this Thursday a 348 - & it is mine for one whole week!!! (Nice prize to win - is not it?)

Meanwhile, before u make ur decision -- check out the mechanics in ur area. Both the Porsche & Ferrari r expensive to maintain - unless u do the work yourself. If u r in an area that does not have a reputable mechanic for one - then go with the other.

No matter what - the key to owning & being able to use these beautiful cars is maintenance. Without it, u might as well be driving a 1963 Bug.

Having owned an F355 & driven a few Porsches in my time l can tell u they r completely different beasts.

Both have great levels of performance but to me the Ferrais r works of art & l would always chose them over the rather more utilitarian designs of Porsche.

l did own a Boxster for a while & that was fun but now l have children now so the larger Porsche becomes more practical & when all is said & done unless u have two or three cars the Ferrari is just too impractical, l sold mine two years ago :(

allow me to approach this from a different angle..

what would ur purpose for either be ???? r u looking for something strictly as a weekend, fair-weather pu$$y-getter ? or r u looking for something u can actually drive ??? another question would be - how r the roads/streets in ur area ?

Ferraris r VERY low to the ground & find EVERY bump, etc.
Porsches r much more 'forgiving'.
Ferraris r also much more 'delicate'.

So, if u want attention - no doubt, go with the Ferrari. If u want something a little more practical, go with the Porsche. My 911 was not a turbo & l described it as: ' a go-cart on crack', so l can only imagine how either of the 2 choices would be.

Whichever u chose, be careful. l had the 911 out on a beautiful Sunday afternoon 'blowing the cobwebs out'. (not showing off, racing, etc. - just out for a 'spirited drive'.) At 105 l went to shift from 3rd to 4th & went 3rd to 2nd instead...oops !
