If you have Deeper Pockets Yes,,,,, There are a Few to match it.

But l sure liked that 4day Weekend with that 928 S4

And My friends 931 Turbo is always fun to pull out and blow the doors off a few cruisers and tuners.

My X Bosses 935 Turbo only has 18K miles on it. If l had it l might change my mind !

Good Question..

Look the porsche company has won at least 43 Le mans racing titles .DO not go for looks if you want a fast car .BUt really if you want a substitute try an Alfa romeo. But see Porsche is the BEST .

l have owned a 1977 911, 1978 930Turbo, early 1990s 968CS, Maserati 222E, Alfa GTV-6, & have driven many other high performance cars, including Aston, Lambo, De Tomaso, Jag XK coupe.

The 930 was the most exciting, the 968CS the most stable & precise, & the Maserati, followed closely by the Alfa, the most unreliable.

Now l drive a 10 year old Audi S2 - modified. It has been the most reliable & being inconspicuous is an advantage. With the mods it out-accelerates most Porsche. l admit a good 993 C4 would tempt me if one turned up. l may test drive the Cayman out of curiousity.

Deutsche ist gutt! Porchse ist sehr gutt! There is not real substitute.

I've had the good fortune of driving quite a few Porsches over the years - mostly at race tracks. While there is no doubt they r fast cars, they r not always the fastest. And when going over the cost issues, there r certainly more economical ways to go fast.

From an ownership point of view, I've found Porsches attract a certain amount of attention. But again, they probably r not the best looking cars on the market (subjective as that one may be), & there r others that will inspire more immediate awe.

Yet, l find the ''No Substitute'' logo just all too appropriate. They r thrilling cars to own & drive, & one of the most rewarding to do. My friend is father put it very nicely when talking about his 356, ''There r so many things in life that we look forward to, & thing if l only had this one thing (that suit, that house, that girl, etc) that our life would be so much better! For all the years of waiting & hype, getting the Porsche was one of those things that lived up to (and exceeded) the hope.''

I've just bought a 996, l think it looks, sounds and goes better than a 993. l am saving up for a 997.Even if l won the lottery l would forego all the Ferraris,Lambos and mercs for a 997 Turbo (or GT3) Porsche..there is no substitute.

What many people dont realize is that Porsche is one of the best sports cars out there. l personally would rather buy a Porsche 911 turbo over a Ferrari or Aston. id save over $100000. you cannot compare them unless you have actually drove one. l personally love how Porsche brings allot of racing components into their cars like having the ignition on the left instead of the right hand side. l love how the exhaust just hums out the tailpipes. So there is no substitute for me.

I've owned 2 and they are crap , boring to drive , uncomfortable to sit in , and not that well made .i bought a second hand Aston martin pure class, and l mean class .

l like the 996 more than the 993. But honestly an Aston Martin, that is a Ford- a real piece of crap.

You looking for show or go? Looking for the biggest bang for the buck, try a Z06. Looking for a smooth line car, think Italian. Need one build to last a long time, try Japan. If you want the total package, now your talking Porsche.
